If an event microsite requires a password to complete the registration or login process, and you do not remember your current password, click the Forgot your password? link. On the Forgot Password page, enter the email address you registered with, complete the CAPTCHA, and click Send. If this email address was used to register previously, an email will be sent with instructions to recover or reset your password.

If you do not receive an email, please check your junk/spam folder. If you cannot locate this email, it is possible that this email address was not used for registration. In this case, please return to the event microsite and register.

Did your system pass the compatibility test?

Visit http://engage.vevent.com/microsite/ext/self_test.jsp?eid=140 and verify that green checkmarks are returned for each section.

This page also plays a sample audio clip which you can use to verify that your speakers or headphones are working correctly. If you do not hear this sample audio, verify that your speakers or headphones are plugged in and turned on, and that volume control on the device itself is turned up.

Your system's volume may also be low or muted. Locate your operating system's speaker icon, usually in the bottom right or top right corner of your screen, and ensure the system volume is turned up.

 

Are you logged in early?

There may be no audio until the live webcast begins.

 

Is the webcast audio muted?

Ensure that the webcast volume slider, located in the bottom right corner, is turned up.

 

Do you have sufficient bandwidth?

  • If you are on a slow Internet connection, or are attending the webcast on a shared network, you may experience buffering or choppiness.
  • If you are connected over VPN, disconnect from it and refresh the page. If you are using Wi-Fi, try connecting to the Internet directly via ethernet cable.
  • If you are viewing the webcast in an office where multiple people are viewing with you, consider watching together on one display to reduce network traffic.

The audio for the webcast streams via your computer, so you will need speakers or headphones in order to listen. If a webcast has a backup audio line available, this information may be provided in your registration confirmation email, in the message that appears before the webcast starts, or by the party organizing your webcast.

If a webcast is going to be made available on-demand, it will be accessible at the same URL where the live broadcast took place.
